Day Wise Plan

Day 1
Arrive in Delhi by around 6:00 PM and prepare for a smooth onward journey to the Himalayas. Depart from Delhi on an overnight premium bus between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Settle in, meet fellow travellers, and begin the scenic journey towards Shimla. The night will be spent onboard the bus.
Day 2
Arrive in Shimla in the morning and continue the journey towards the beautiful Kinnaur Valley. Drive through scenic Himalayan landscapes, apple orchards, and winding mountain roads. Stop for lunch at Rampur before continuing along the Sutlej Valley. Pass through the famous Kinnaur Gate, carved dramatically through rocky cliffs, and proceed towards Kalpa. Reach Kalpa by evening and check into a valley-view homestay, with spectacular views of the Kinnaur Kailash range. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kalpa.
Day 3
Begin the day with an early departure from Kalpa as the landscape gradually transforms from lush green valleys into the barren, dramatic cold desert of Spiti. Cross Khab Sangam, the spectacular confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers, and continue towards the high-altitude village of Nako. Explore Nako and its serene high-altitude lake before proceeding towards Gue Village. Visit Gue Monastery, known for its naturally preserved ancient mummy. Continue the scenic drive and reach Kaza by evening, where you will check into a snow-themed homestay. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kaza.
Day 4
Wake up to the magical winter landscape of Kaza and begin an exciting exploration of the high-altitude Spiti Valley. Drive to Langza, famous for its giant Buddha statue, ancient marine fossils, and breathtaking panoramic views. Continue to Hikkim, home to one of the world’s highest post offices, where you can send a postcard from the Himalayas. Proceed to Komik, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, and experience the remote lifestyle and unique culture of the Spitian people. Return to Kaza by evening after an unforgettable day amidst the spectacular Himalayan landscape. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kaza.
Day 5
Explore the spiritual and architectural heritage of Spiti Valley with a visit to the iconic Key Monastery, an ancient monastery dramatically overlooking the valley. Continue to Kibber Village, renowned for its traditional houses, unique Himalayan culture, and high-altitude wildlife. Cross Chicham Bridge, one of the world’s highest motorable bridges, offering spectacular views of the surrounding cliffs and valleys. Continue the journey through the remote winter landscape towards Tabo. Weather and road conditions permitting, visit the peaceful and historically significant Tabo Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Tabo.
Day 6
Begin the return journey from Spiti towards Kinnaur. Visit the spectacular Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on the edge of a steep cliff and offering magnificent views of the surrounding valley. As you travel further, watch the landscape gradually transform from the stark cold desert of Spiti into the greener terrain of Kinnaur. Pass through Khab, where the Spiti and Sutlej Rivers meet, and continue towards Sangla. Arrive in the beautiful Sangla Valley by evening and relax at your valley-view accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Sangla.
Day 7
Explore the picturesque Sangla Valley and drive towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Experience the traditional wooden houses, peaceful surroundings, and scenic beauty of the Baspa River. Visit the famous Hindustan Ka Aakhri Dhaba and enjoy local food at the edge of the border region. After exploring Chitkul, drive back through Sangla and continue towards Narkanda. By evening, check into an exclusive and peaceful valley-view homestay. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Narkanda.
Day 8
Wake up to a peaceful winter morning in Narkanda and, weather and road conditions permitting, visit Hatu Peak for spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. Continue to the serene Tani Jubbar Lake and enjoy the quiet beauty of the surrounding landscape. Before departure, savour traditional Himachali Siddhu and other local flavours. Later, drive towards Shimla to board the overnight premium bus to Delhi. The night will be spent onboard the journey.
Day 9
Arrive back in Delhi at approximately 7:00 AM, bringing your Spiti Valley winter adventure to an end. Return home with unforgettable memories of snow-covered mountains, remote Himalayan villages, ancient monasteries, dramatic mountain roads, and the unique culture and landscapes of Spiti and Kinnaur. It is recommended to keep sufficient buffer time before booking onward flights or trains, as winter weather and mountain road conditions can cause unexpected delays.
